Hole 33 – Shoutout Colorado Interview

By April 17, 2024No Comments

Our recent interview with Shoutout Colorado. See original article here: https://shoutoutcolorado.com/meet-jay-piper-owner-creative-director/

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Piper and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
For ParHopper, our success thrives off of collaboration. We love collaborating with other brands, specifically breweries & distilleries. Offering these brands a blank canvas on our custom polos allows them to tell their story through our product. We work on a concept together and create something truly unique and special.

Concepts are the other component that drives success with ParHopper. You’ll never see us release a pattern with no meaning behind it. We create conversation starters. We believe you should live your life passionately and dress accordingly! It’s all about having fun and that starts with feeling good about how you look. We embrace challenging the norm.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Simply put, we love people. At any event for ParHopper, we (the owners) are always present and always there to network. We are extremely personal and love making new friends. We hear all of the time that people love our brand because they have the opportunity to meet and get to know us. We live the lifestyle that our brand represents. We won’t pressure you to buy a polo. We’ll ask you to sit down, share a nice pour of bourbon with us and tell you what our brand is all about. You’ll decide to get the polo on our own.

ParHopper is helping to innovate and elevate the perception of what traditional golf apparel will be for future generations. Don’t get us wrong, we’re all for tradition, that is, until it hinders progression. You’ll never see us lay up. The ParHopper brand originated and holds strong to a “go for it” mindset.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of our favorite places to hang out are:

The Local Drive – Indoor golf & cocktail lounge. They have golf simulators and by far the best cocktails in Denver. You can work on your swing while enjoying a delicious cocktail all at the same time.

Copper Sky Distillery | Branch & Barrel Distillery – We’re whiskey guys. We love good bourbon and these two distilleries are our top choices when it comes to Colorado whiskey. They also have great cocktails.

The Bluegrass Coffee & Bourbon Lounge – Not only do they have a huge selection of whiskey and house-made coffee, they have the best Italian sandwich you’ve ever tasted. This is our go-to spot for food after a day of golfing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We want to give a shoutout to our list of collaborative polo partners. We developed concepts for these brands and they put their trust in our product to tell their story and represent their brand with our custom polos. In no particular order we want to give a HUGE thank you to:

The Local Drive, Copper Sky Distillery, Suerte Tequila, Branch & Barrel, Launch Pad Brewery, Max Taps, Old Elk Distillery, Aurora Police Foundation, Bula, Talnua Distillery, Lone Tree Brewing, Molly Brown Spirits, 477 Distilling, Synlawn, Number Thirty Eight & Astroturf.
